Our Founders experienced success at a young age and quickly developed large communities of followers. Learning to manage these large communities presented many challenges, but they developed Skylab to solve one common problem, retaining a large community of followers through mentoring and training. In addition to being the Founder and CEO of Skylab Apps, Mr. Grey is also the Founder and CIO of Transactive, a mobile merchant and lending application company. Mr. Grey has over 20 years of experience in coaching and gamified learning and is recognized globally as one of the leading experts in community building for lifestyle brands. In 1989, he founded the executive coaching company KMI, now Freestyle, and built a network of 200,000 affiliates in 18 countries. Mr. Grey also has extensive experience in Direct Selling. By the age of twenty-three, Mr. Grey became the youngest recipient of Amway’s Executive Diamond award for growing the revenue of his Amway direct sales business into the largest top 0.002% of the organization.
The most decorated American Winter Olympian in History, Apolo Ohno has been responsible for bringing brand awareness and exposure to a multitude of Fortune 500 companies including Raytheon, GE, GM, VISA, eBay, Coca-Cola, Nestle, and NBC. He serves as an Ambassador to the development of the Special Olympics in Asia and to the World Wide Philanthropy Forum. He was also appointed by President Obama as a U.S. Presidential Appointee to the President’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in 2011.
Mr. Jao has been the President of Trident Venture Group Inc., a privately held investment company. Trident invests and holds interests in commercial and residential real estate projects, and through its venture capital arm, seeds and funds opportunities in the technology, manufacturing, food and beverage and telecommunications sectors. Mr. Jao’s background includes software development and network marketing, and he is one of the youngest individuals in the history of Amway Global to reach a high level of success, having been involved in the opening of key international markets and being engaged in countless public speaking appearances to audiences of tens of thousands worldwide.
In addition to being one of the founders, Bryan Farris also leads the Development team as the Vice President of Development at Skylab Apps. As a full stack engineer, his programming skill set includes Objective-C, Swift, Python, Django, Node.js, Redis, HTML, CSS, Heroku, Amazon Web Services, Postgres, JSON, external APIs, Celery, New Relic, Flurry, Sendy & others. He holds both a degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research as well as a Certificate in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Management from the University of California, Berkeley. Bryan previously was a business strategy consultant at Bain & Company.
